my first done skaven unit!

Hey guys, i just finished painting my first skaven unit. it's a clanrat unit 40 rats strong, with hand weapon shields, full command and a poisoned wind mortar weapon team.

I'll try to make some better pictures when i have some time, but for now this will do (i hope).

my workplace!

Hey guys, i figured since this blog is mostly about warhammer i'd show off where i do most of my painting and/or modelling.
it's a simple setup with my paints, some handy items, and a number of figures within handreach, it's simple, doesn't take up much space and it won't get messy (If i remember to clean it up sometimes that is.)
Here is a picture of it with a little explanation of what is what.

#1 It's my trusty lamp! i can twist and turn it pretty much every way i would need to, so it's perfect. I do have another one, but that one is more for the global lightning of my entire workplace.

#2 My homemade paint rack! I made it one day when i was bored because i was tired of all the loose paint bottles on my table. it's made out of 3 a3 sized sheets of foamboard, might not be the most sturdy piece of equipment but really, how heavy is a paint bottle?

#3 Some of my to do stuff! Right now there are 2 rat ogres and a packmaster, a skaven warlock engineer, 13 clanrats (several for my unit fillers), my skaven chieftain bsb and a skaven warlord.

#4 my mostly done stuff! The thing in the picture is a unit of 40 clanrats, with a poisoned wind mortar. Several still have one or two layers of paint waiting for them, should be done in about a week total (pictures will be uploaded)

#5 A cup of water! I don't know why i used an exclamation mark for this because it is plain, simple, wet, water. Used to clean my brush and thin my paints in case you hadn't guessed yet.

#6 My very handy rack of little slides. They hold some of the more smaller stuff i might one day need, such as magnets, toothpicks, some coins, some bases, some greenstuff etc. etc. Next to it are my to do racks, they have some models in them ready for paint or stuff that i need to finish assembling or something.



So, you've seen my workplace, i'll try uploading some pictures of my previous work up here, so you can point and laugh at my horrible painting skills! (or not, your choice) the next post will be coming tonight or perhaps tomorrow.

Hey guys. i'd like to introduce myself as sjefke, i'm a warhammer enthousiast from the netherlands.
So this blog will mostly be about warhammer, although sometimes other interesting stuff that might happen in my life. (if it ever does :p)
some more about myself then, i'm sjefke poulussen. born and raised in limburg the netherlands.
I am studying to be a graphics designer and just started my first year (just 4 more to go *sigh*)
I play the drums and have done for 2 and a half years.
I enjoy playing an occasional computer game and am an avid player of world of warcraft.
Well then, let's hope i can manage to keep this thing updated for atleast a while.
